Harvest
Every origin has its own harvest rhythm.
Brazil, Vietnam, Colombia, Indonesia, Central America, Peru, India and East Africa do not follow the same shipping schedule. Each harvest creates its own concentration of export demand, equipment pressure and carrier behaviour. Treating green coffee as a generic year-round flow overlooks the periods when the market changes fastest.
CSA's coffee contracts and capacity planning are built around these seasonal patterns. We understand when individual origins come under pressure and shape our product accordingly, so customers are positioned before the market tightens and can offer multiple shipping options.
Quality
Not every box is the right box.
Green coffee is generally shipped in standard 20-foot general-purpose (20GP) containers. Standard equipment, however, does not mean any container is suitable. It must be food-grade, which in practice means clean, dry, odor-free and free from contamination risk from previous cargo.
CSA understands the equipment standards green coffee requires and incorporates them into carrier negotiations and service agreements.

From the world's largest origins to the less obvious coffee trades.
CSA maintains negotiated rates and strong contractual coverage on the major green coffee trade routes and extends that to smaller origin ports and less common destinations. That breadth matters: coffee does not move only where carrier networks are strongest.
We work with all major global ocean carriers and selected niche carriers, allowing us to match each trade with the most suitable combination of capacity, equipment, service, transit time and commercial terms.
