[ Industries · Perishables ]

Perishables leave no room for generic decisions.

A wrong reefer spec or a fragile routing costs shelf life. We assess the operational risk behind the rate and build backwards from what the cargo needs to arrive in a saleable condition.

[ Equipment Selection  ]

Reefer equipment is not one-size-fits-all.

Specification

Knowing the technical requirement isn't the same as buying it.

Selecting the wrong specification can mean paying an unnecessary premium or exposing the cargo to unacceptable risk. Even when the technical requirements are known, they are often not fully reflected in the procurement process.

Carrier fit

Not every carrier is strong on every lane, or can supply every spec.

CSA translates the cargo requirement into a carrier and equipment strategy. We understand where individual carriers are strongest, which reefer specifications they can provide and whether the required quantity can be supported on the relevant trade. The result is equipment that fits the cargo and capacity that fits the shipping plan.

[ Routing Selection   ]

Every day in transit has commercial value.

Routing

Transshipments and congestion cost shelf life that transit time doesn't show.

For perishables, the fastest schedule on paper is not always the safest choice. Port congestion, transshipment exposure and schedule reliability all affect the shelf life remaining at destination. In markets with minimum remaining-shelf-life requirements, a delay can turn a late shipment into an unsaleable one.

Lane strategy

We know which carrier network actually performs on your lane.

CSA continually reviews rolling demand, monitors the freight market and engages carriers to keep capacity aligned with the launch plan.

"We used to buy transit time. Now we buy the shelf life that's left when the box opens."
