[ Operating Focus ]

Built for seasonal pressure, cargo care, and reliable routes

Seasonality

Every commodity - and every origin - has its own season.

Cocoa's main and mid-crops, cotton harvests, sugar campaigns and tea auction cycles each create different freight patterns. Those patterns change again by producing region. Treating soft commodities as one homogeneous market overlooks the moments when capacity, equipment and carrier behaviour shift.

CSA understands the seasonality behind each commodity and origin. Our procurement approach is shaped around those individual calendars, so contract coverage is positioned for the periods when it matters most.

Quality

Every commodity needs the right setup.

Food-grade containers, commodity-specific container dressing, liners and flexitanks are not interchangeable choices. The right equipment and supporting service depend on the product, the origin and the transport requirement.

CSA understands those commodity-specific needs and ensures they are reflected in carrier selection, procurement and service design. The solution is built around the cargo - not the other way around.

Coverage

Coverage built around the commodity, not a generic network map.

CSA maintains negotiated rates and contractual coverage on the principal trade routes for each commodity, while also supporting smaller and less conventional flows. If an annual rate is not offered, we negotiate short-term rates to cover a business. This gives customers access to a network that reflects how their commodity actually moves.

By combining all major global ocean carriers with selected niche carriers, we can identify the strongest available balance of capacity, equipment, service, transit time and commercial terms for each trade.

[ LIQUID SOFT COMMODITIES ]

Protected product integrity from origin to destination

Liquid commodities

Sensitive liquid cargoes require secure transport to protect their integrity.

We provide specialist logistics for liquid soft commodities, including nut oils, glycerin, ethanol, and other sensitive cargoes. From Brazil and worldwide origins, we arrange secure transport in drums, IBC totes, and ISO tanks, protecting product integrity from origin to destination.

"We joined CSA's coffee pooling journey later than we would have liked. With soft commodities, we want to be among the first - helping build greater collective leverage from the start."
